The Statewide Health Insurance Benefit Advisers HelpLine program is working to reduce the number of uninsured in our communities.

Access Coordinators and trained SHIBA volunteers offer the following free services to help consumers and their families navigate the healthcare system:

• Counseling in Insurance Programs & Benefits including Medicare, Medicaid, Basic Health Plan of Washington and prescription drugs programs.
• Easy-to-understand and impartial information to help clients access and maintain health insurance coverage.
• Free counseling and help completing paperwork from our well-trained volunteers and experienced Access Coordinators. 
• Assistance with enrollment in Medicaid, Children's Health Insurance Plan (CHIP), Basic Health and other state and federal insurance programs
  

Community Choice provides the Sponsor function of coordinating a SHIBA HelpLine volunteer program in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, Grant and Adams Counties. We provide relevant outreach and education services in Spanish and English. Our services are FREE, unbiased and confidential.

As a sponsor of the Statewide Health Insurance Benefit Advisers (SHIBA) program, funded by the state's Office of the Insurance Commissioner, Community Choice and our communities are blessed to have a great number of dedicated SHIBA Volunteers providing reliable, unbiased information on Medicare, Medicaid, prescription and other benefits.
